When you want to learn more about something, what do you do?
I try to go the source!
As a community builder and podcaster, people often mention other people to me.
“Oh, do you know X?
I learned this from Y.
Z told me about your event.”
You probably have heard some of this before, right?
Well, in this prior A Chief of Staff podcast episode with Jordan DeTar, Jordan mentioned that there was someone on her team at Eight Sleep who was primarily focused on building a bunch of AI automations and workflows.
So, I reached out to Amelie Missig to initially say hello!
And then, one thing led to another, and Amelie and I recorded A Chief of Staff podcast episode together!
Here are some of the core ideas in the podcast episode:
thinking about building AI apps and agents as part of an overall ecosystem
how she built an (internal for now) AI culture quiz to help objectively identify if someone is a culture fit before they potentially join the company
asking people internally before she built something:
if it is even useful
if she could make it more useful; and / or
what are the things she should consider before building it
how she tested new workflows with one or two people before she brought it to more people
And much more!
You can connect with Amelie on LinkedIn!
As a reminder, A Chief of Staff podcast is available here, here, here, here, etc!
