AI Automation: Agents, Culture Quizzes, and 10x-ing Output with Amelie Missig

When you want to learn more about something, what do you do?

I try to go the source!

As a community builder and podcaster, people often mention other people to me.

“Oh, do you know X?

I learned this from Y.

Z told me about your event.”

You probably have heard some of this before, right?

Well, in this prior A Chief of Staff podcast episode with Jordan DeTar, Jordan mentioned that there was someone on her team at Eight Sleep who was primarily focused on building a bunch of AI automations and workflows.

So, I reached out to Amelie Missig to initially say hello!

And then, one thing led to another, and Amelie and I recorded A Chief of Staff podcast episode together!

Here are some of the core ideas in the podcast episode:

  • thinking about building AI apps and agents as part of an overall ecosystem

  • how she built an (internal for now) AI culture quiz to help objectively identify if someone is a culture fit before they potentially join the company

  • asking people internally before she built something:

    • if it is even useful

    • if she could make it more useful; and / or

    • what are the things she should consider before building it

  • how she tested new workflows with one or two people before she brought it to more people

And much more!

You can connect with Amelie on LinkedIn!

As a reminder, A Chief of Staff podcast is available here, here, here, here, etc!
